Tamil Nadu Livestock Development Corporation was constituted vide Government Order G.O.Ms.No.18 Animal Husbandry and Fisheries (AH4) Department dated 9.2.2002 formed in the year 2002 as the State Implementation Agency for implementing the National Project of Cattle and Buffalo Breeding of the Government of India.

The Agency has been registered as a society and is functioning from 09.01.2003.

The Agency primary objective is to consolidate on the progress made, to sustain the progress and improve milk production and animal productivity.
